Default Props to Lady Gaga

I'll be the first to admit that when Lady Gaga first started out in the music industry, I was not impressed with the crazy costumes, etc.

Her performance at the Oscars drew a lot of buzz and she showed she is a consumate performer. I hope she stays in the mainstream with her music, as I amazed at her jazz capabilities, aka "Cheek to Cheek" album with Tony Bennett.

She was dressed very classy and looked beautiful. I could have done without the tatoo's but that's me. I have become a big fan of what she has been doing lately and my hope is that she continues to dazzle us with her multiple talented performances. Did anyone catch her on the Stevie Wonder special playing the piano and singing "supersition". WOW

What did you think of this performance?

I think she has a true gift. It looks like she surprised herself and was surprised by the reaction of the audience. She did a remarkable job.

We always liked her, excellent performer. Madonna-like I'd say. Yes, the tatts are well, you know...but they all seem to...

During her Oscar perf, I swore she was lipsyncing --- sounded way too good. But never once 'caught her'. Googled this and all indications are that she sang live. I recall her previously chiding other 'stars' for lipsynching. Bottom line - good for her and yes, a fantastic performance.
kudos!

Unhappy

Good voice, but I found it hard to buy in to having a woman with multiple tattoos singing the songs of a nun postulant.

First there was Cher,( remember the shock of her Bob Macky costumes) then Madonna (with her bra on the outside) and now there is Lady Gaga. I will admit the meat outfit was too much. She is a marvelous singer and songwriter. Her duets with Tony Bennett are wonderful.

There are some amazing voices and talents out there today. You have to have more than just a voice. Lady Gaga has found an act that works. It got her attention and sold her songs. She is now in the class of those who can sing what they want when they want. Not bad for a girl from Yonkers. The Lady rocks!

Hands down, she is one of the best performers of today.
She is multi-talented, has the ability to capture an audience and
even though she may do some goofy things in some people's mind,
her performance at the Oscars was incredible.
Just ask Julie Andrews!
