Wow! Guess we don't know what we've missed being new residents. We were at SS last night, and totally enjoyed the music and the dancing. Our favorite still is Clark Barrios and Impulse and Paul Vesco band. We danced to them tonight at SL...more our generation I guess. Whatever, we love having the options to dance at the squares and hope that never changes!! It's one of the things we love about TV!!

We heard them perform at a private party and thought they sounded BETTER.

As for Dave Parker, I hope he gets his personal problems resolved. His voice, however, does not sound as good as it did when I moved here four years ago.
"The musical instruments drowned out the voices" -- that is a pet peeve of mine that bugs me about so many bands for so many years...why have a vocalist if you won't let us hear him/her?

I've learned that people on TOTV know most anything. . . one only needs to ask.

Default Rocky and the Rollers

We were in TV for the last few days and saw Rocky and The Rollers Monday in Spanish Springs. We arrived about 5:30 and sat thru the first break, we were not impressed with the new band sound. We stayed after the break and it was like a switch came over the band, more energy, better sound and the better singers were given the songs. The new guy who was singing Mustang Sally and the James Brown song was excellent. I liked Dave Parker and liked the previous sound of Rocky and the Rollers but I think these guys will become very good in a short time. JMO

Saw Rocky and The Rollers last night at Katie Belles, they sounded great!!! The new member of the group Al Morse was with The Coasters for 12 years. He adds more versatility to their song selections, more Motown etc. I hope Al is a permanent replacement.
