Default three favorite musicians

There is another post about naming the three best presidents. As expected, it is starting to get ugly. How about a poll that won't be so political.

How about your three favorite groups/ singers of all time.

Mine are

The Beatles

Rod Stewart

Billy Joel

Seger's "We Got Tonight" is my second most favorite song of all time (Imagine #1) I also love the Eagles and they should have been listed with Billy Joel as #3. You may disagree with me but Glenn Fry was/ is The Eagles. Don Hendley was a main contributer but Fry was the man. But like Lennon/McCartney- Fry/Hendley were a team and needed each other to reach the next level.

Looks like Coralway is a big Beatles fan. My wife saw them twice at Shea back in 1964 and my wife and I had front row seats to see McCartney in 2002.

I went to McCartney's concert this past summer at Yankee Stadium. He did a tribute to George that had everybody tearing up.

The guy puts on a helluva show.

IMO, the world's greatest entertainer.

Beatles (saw them live twice in Chicago)
Jim Croce
James Taylor (Secret O'Life is my favorite song and here are the lyrics

Well the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time.
Any fool can do it,
There ain't nothin' to it.
Nobody knows how we got to the top of the hill.
But since we're on our way down,
We might as well enjoy the ride.

The secret of love is in opening up your heart.
It's okay to feel afraid,
But don't let it stand in your way, No now.
Cuz everyone knows that love is the only road.
And since we're only here for awhile,
We might as well show some style,
Give us a smile now,

(Chorus)
Isn't it a lovely ride?
Sliding down, and
Gliding down, and
Try not to try too hard.
It's just a lovely ride.

The thing about time is that time isn't really real.
It's all on your point of view,
How does it feel to you in there, and
Einstein said that you could never understand it all.
Planets spinning through space,
The smile upon your face,
Welcome to the human race,

(Chorus)

Isn't that a lovely ride,
Oh la la yes,
See me sliding down and gliding down,
Try not to try too hard,
It's just a lovely ride.

Now the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time...

I should have mentioned The Four Seasons also. They were my favorite band for a long time. Their problem they didn't adjust to the musical changes like other bands did. Bob Gaudio was an underated song writer and nothing needs to be said about Frankie Valli's voice. Saw "Jersey Boys" and enjoyed it big time.

"Turn the Page" is my favorite Seger song.

What beautiful words! It's hard to pick just three...definitely The Eagles, David Bowie and no matter what Celine Dion sings...I get goosebumps!

Here's my top 3 that I haven't seen mentioned yet, since other than the Beatles, I like too many to put a number on them:

1) Crosby, Stills, and Nash (and sometimes Young)
2) Billy Joel
3) Santana
