Default Top 5 musical groups

What musical groups do you consider as the top five you have ever heard (not necessarily in person). Mine are - The Eagles (THE best ever), The Moody Blues, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, and Led Zeppelin.

Considering how are taste change as we grow, I will give the names of groups when they were at their prime. It do not necessarily mean I'd listen to them as much as I did then.
The Beatles
Four SEasons
Doors,
Eagles
Billy Joel- Is he a group?

The Beatles are the greatest, by any measure, of any act in popular music history. Everyone else is a distant second.

WE all know that The Beatles are far ahead of everyone else, but there has to be other music you listen to. With you nbeing a musician I'm sure your bands have played songs other than those by the Fab Four. How 'bout giving the next four groups.

I played drums in a band back int he 60s and along with in addition to performing and recording our original material we covered pretty much all of the great bands from that era . For the past twelve years or so, I've played guitar and sang in Beatles tribute bands. I have done some solo acoustic stuff doing a wide variety of material from the 50s and 60s and even a few modern things like Bruno Mars and Train and even a Britney Spears song.

I guess my favorite after the Beatles is Eric Clapton. I don't think I've ever heard any one play and sing with so much emotion and sincerity except for perhaps BB King who would probably be next on my list.

It's really difficult for me to pick out a few bands and say that they are the greatest or best or my favorites because I like so many of them. I guess that I feel that after the Beatles and maybe Clapton they are all tied for third.
