The Villages Pops Chorus returns for its fourth annual Holiday Concert “We Wish You the Merriest” on Monday December 4 at North Lake Presbyterian Church. There will be two concerts, one at 3 PM and one at 6 PM. Tickets are $15 and are available through all Villages Box Office locations and online, and will be available at the door if not sold out (last year’s concerts sold out two weeks ahead of time). Proceeds from this concert will be donated to Deliver the Difference and the Girl Scouts Alumnae PJ and Book Drive. The 140 voice Pops Chorus presents concerts that leave the audience smiling, singing, and feeling the spirit of the holiday season. Well-known for the variety of popular music they sing, the Pops Chorus show this year includes many upbeat pieces such as “We Wish You the Merriest”, “Holly Jolly Christmas”, and a rockin’ version of “Blue Christmas” like you’ve never heard it before. These songs are balanced with beautiful ballads like “Believe” from Polar Express, “Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth”, the song made famous by the Bing Crosby and David Bowie duet, and the iconic “Silver Bells”. Backed by the 12-piece Pops Chorus Band, the Chorus also sings a Santa Medley that will be the hit of the concert. Expect fun, surprises, and some very beautiful music to start your Holiday Season.
