FYI It is ABC TV 9 Orlando that did not renew with DTV. DTV is still broadcasting local ABC in its other nationwide affiliates. Give it a few days.

YouTube TV is not immune from this.

Networks negotiate with every provider that wants to carry them. Usually, things go well and the customer doesn't notice or the negotiations lead to higher prices and the customer's bill goes up.

Sometimes, the negotiations don't go well. More than once my provider (cable or satellite) has warned me that the network was threatening to stop service and suggested I call the network to complain. Occasionally (though it seems more often now) negotiations fail and the network is no longer available. My father has been without some local networks on Dishnet for a while now.

This can happen to any provider, cable, satellite, or streaming.

Don't worry about it. Those negotiations are a frequent and common part of the cable TV industry. They always get resolved with one side or the other getting more money ... and the resolution is passed on to customers as a rate increase.

The articles about losing this channel or that channel are all "scare" journalism, designed to get clicks into the site that writes them ... clickbait, leading to their advertising.

As we say up north, "Don worry bout it, nuttin to see here."

Can get most shows on channel 20. This is a Gainesville channel.

We've had DirecTv for years. We found that Channel 20 on it offers ABC They (DirecTv) will eventually shoot themselves in the leg and will lose many more customers than they already have. We've not yet cut the cord but time will tell.

I would hope Orlando stations eventually build a tower up this way to serve the area better. Being able to get over the air broadcasts is hit and miss but probably mostly miss in this area. Towns around TV are growing so maybe it will make sense for the investment in the future.

YouTubeTV is a streaming service for you TV and Amazon Prime offers movies, documentaries, series, etc for TV as it, too, is a streaming service. Prime TV is included with your Prime membership. You'll have to subscribe to YouTubeTV. You need to download both apps onto your TV to access.
