Default T-Mobile Home Internet

I’ve heard pros and cons about T-Mobile home internet. My next door neighbor has it and has had no problems. Looking for input from others in The Villages who have this service. Have you had any issues?
Just looking to dump Comcast.
Thanks

Problem #1 is getting it. I have been waiting several months with no indication of when. They need to expand coverage capability

Default T-Mobile

Working good in Buttonwood. Only problem we have had since dumping Comcast internet is that we cannot use our voice selectors on Comcast to go to Netflix or Amazon Prime. We have to use our original television selectors to tune those channels. Had the tech guy out today and he said thats the way it is.

The only problem one might face is “It works great in my village of _______, but may not in your village.

Worked well at one house in TV, but not in another for us.

Generally needs to have line of sight to a T Mobile cell tower to be reliable.

Speeds can be reduced when the network is busy.

I used TMobile home internet for about 12 months. Initially speeds were great. But I always had problems with the internet dropping out. TMobile replaced the modem/router they supplied 4 times. I would also routinely lose service during thunderstorms. Then my speed started dropping as they rolled out the service to more users.

I ended up dropping the service … it was just not reliable enough at my location.

I think your experience is very dependent on how close you are to their tower. I was on the edge of their service area.

Tried it in Pine Hills for a month. It didn’t work reliably. Dropped it and switched to Quantum Fiber.

I went online and it said that it was not available. I went to the T-Mobile store up on Wedgewood Lane and I was able to get it. I have no problems with it at all. I live in Virginia Trace

We have T-Mobil in Hawkins. Works great. No issues. Locked in price for life, free Netflix and AppleTV. What’s not to love if you can get it in your area?

I have never used T-Mobile; I am curious why you want to dump Comcast.
I've had them for years and have never had a problem.

We had Xfinity (comcast) for a few years with no technical problems at all. However, when they chose to raise their prices I chose to look at my options. Now I have T-Mobile.

We've had it for a few years now and like it. Originally we got it here in Indiana, but now we take it with us to our home in Amelia and it works fine there as well.
As some have said, proximity to a T Mobile cell tower makes a difference. Also you need to move it around the house to find the best signal.

Coverage gets weaker during the evening drive time when cellular phone usage is up, but I have noticed that effect only once or twice in six months. Otherwise reliable, fast enough, and more than sufficient bandwidth for two adults.
