Default DVD: Breaking Bad

I'm just starting the fourth season and I think it's very entertaining. I don't have TV so this has been a nightly treat for me. The problem with DVDs is that it all goes by so fast. Soon I'll be out of new episodes and looking for something else.

I've thought about watching it. It's obviously thought of by many as a very good show. My hesitation has been having a main character...whom I assume I'll need to sympathize with to at least some degree...who is a hard-core drug dealer.

What do you think?

Well, I did sympathize with him at first. That's all I'll say. I thought it was a phenomenal series.

You would be better off watching Weeds.

I highly recommend watching "24" if you have never seen it.
There are many seasons. Just about the best series I have ever watched on DVD.
I too enjoyed Breaking Bad very much.

Agree with you but never saw House of Cards. Breaking Bad was one of the best written best acted series ever. Watching the transformation of a high school chemistry teacher to a top drug dealer was something and the bonus of a everyday housewife and mother involvement made it really a draw.

House of Cards best TV series ever IMO.
Again, the main character essentially evil but so fiendishly clever that you can't wait to see what he'll do next

He's not a drug dealer, he's involved in manufacturing a drug. You might sympathize somewhat in the beginning but the sympathy gradually fades away to something else. Anyway, it's just a fictional story and not to be taken seriously.

Thanks to everyone for the tips on what series to watch next. I have it all written down.
