Look for a show called "World on Fire", set during WW2, first season came out in 2019, second season released October 15 on PBS Masterpiece. Unfortunately, looks like first season is only on PBS Documentaries but they have a 7 day free trial. If you decide to do that I would wait until all of this season is on because it's still being released one week at a time.
Will check this series out.

Excellent series. We also just binged Poldark (Amazon Prime) this week, loved that too.
