This was month's ago now but the commercials now are an embarrassment compared to the real Colonel Harlan David Sanders. He and his wife Claudia were nothing like this Norm Macdonald character. YUM brands could have done a lot better...

True. My older brother had mentioned it when I was visiting him in the DC area in May 2015, but I usually just fast forward through commercials unless something catches me eye.

He said the first guy from SNL playing the Colonel gave him the creeps.

Yes Darrel Hammond was the first replacement Colonel. ( You may remember him as SNL's President Clinton.

The current replacement Colonel is Norm McDonald. Watching the commercials indicates a tongue in cheek "wink wink" represention of the Colonel.

The end result is measured if the sales is effective.
