Default Tom Lehrer !!!!!

Haven't listened to him for years, and then at the ukelele group someone brought up one of his songs and what a blast from the past. Thanks for the link. Never realized he was on youtube. Such great songs..... Be Prepared, and sooo many more. Wonder what the kids of today would think. We loved them. Thanks again!

I have a Tom Lehrer LP that was recorded live at The Hungry I in San Francisco in 1965. It's got Vatican Rag, New Math, and a bunch more on it.

I owned all three (I think that's all) of Tom Lehrer's record albums and drove my friends and relatives crazy playing them over and over.

One note is impressive.

The older westerns I liked were Have Gun, Will Travel, The Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Centennial, Lonesome Dove, etc.
No Bonanza?

There are so many great old shows to choose from, but without a doubt, the most memorable for me was The Andy Griffith Show. Who among us can not quote so many of the lines from Andy, Barney, Gomer, Opie, Aunt Bee, Floyd the Barber, and Otis? These episodes work just as well today as they did then. Yeah, I'm whistling the tune right now. You know the one!
Say.....can we get the developer to create a Village of Mayberry? :-)

When I was in junior high school, I would race home to watch The Big Valley. I had a huge crush on Heath Barkley.

Me too! I remember Sky King was "brought to you by Nabisco"
Don't forget the Howdy Doody Show
or
Andy's Gang
Also, some of the great westerns:
Tales of Texas Rangers, Bat Masterson, Lash LaRue, Have Gun Will Travel....I bet of lot of folks out there can still sing the theme songs to most of those shows.

I'm shocked.....truly stunned and shocked....that no one, no one (unless I missed it!) mentioned that master of minstrels, that purveyor of pies-in-the-face, that impressario of impishness, Soupy Sales!!!! Remember White Fang and Black Tooth, his occasional guests????

I see the joke made an impression on you also.

I believe it stopped the show for about three minutes with eveyone laughing.

Funny stuff.
