I think that every one was afraid that they'd wind up getting a pie in the face if they dared mentioned Soupy Sales!

Soupy Sales is the one that came to mind for me. Remember "be true to your teeth and they won't be false to you". Then there was the time he got suspended from his show for telling the kids to go in their parents wallets and send him the green pieces of paper. Every afternoon after school we watched Soupy.

Rocky and Bulwinkle, Boris and Natasha, the Adams Family, Man from Uncle, Flash Gordon Serials (yes, technically not a TV show), Sky King, Smothers Brothers, Shindig, Hullabaloo, I Spy, the Twilight Zone (the old version with Rod), Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, ER, I Claudius, Upstairs/Downstairs, SNL, Monty Python, Lost, Top Cat, and Clutch Cargo (gotta love those moving lips). Also, the yearly showing of The Wizard of Oz. And heck, Steve Allen and Jack Parr.

I have seen a lot of these Gunsmoke episodes on DVDs. They just released the first half of the 6th Season. http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/56403...-season-vol-1/
