Villager Featured on "We'll Meet Again"
On this past Tuesday night's season 2 premiere of the PBS series "We'll Meet Again", Ann Curry interviews a Villager, Dave Johnson, a Vietnam Vet who wants to be reunited with the helicopter pilot who saved his life in 1972. There were a couple of scenes filmed in The Villages. Dave's wife (sorry I cannot remember her name) is also interviewed by Ann Curry. Very moving and emotional episode which shows how the reunion comes about.
"We'll Meet Again" is a great series. If you can watch season 1 (6 episodes) on a streaming service or DVD I highly recommend it. Season 2 is on Tuesday nights on PBS.

We saw it Tuesday night but I missed the part about The Villages. It was a great show with two compelling stories. The other story had to do with a veteran looking for the surgeon who saved his leg in the operating theater in Viet Nam. The surgeon, Dr. Katz, is in his early 80's, and has just retired.

I just did a search on Directv and that episode is re-airing Monday the 19th at 5am on WUCF channel 24, so I just set my DVR.
