I "need" to put a small TV on the countertop in my kitchen. What do I actually need to do to accomplish this - obviously buy the correct size TV, but what or who do I need to hire to run the cable etc. Thanks for any and all help.

If you have Directv you don’t need any cables.....just another small box. The TV can be placed anywhere there’s an electrical outlet. We have two that can be moved when needed........for overnight guests, for instance.

It sounds like you need some technical advice. Call or email Villages AV, he lives in St. James and has done hundreds of TVs from antennas to mounting on the wall.

Depending on what you need, you could just connect a smart TV to your WIFI. However, you will not get all of the cable channels.

If you have Comcast, you can use the Xfifinity steaming service. You will need A roku device as well. Gives you the flexibility to put your tv anywhere you like.

If you have DISH Network, they also have a wireless box (a "Joey") that does live TV and piggy-backs off of what you have recorded on your DVD (a "Hopper"). They also have ways to stream your live and recorded content onto other devices (PCs, tablets, etc.). Maybe with the right smart TV you can do it to the TV without that box.
