The reason is its observational comedy. Its timeless and transcending because 'we' as human beings breathe new life into it daily with our actions and mannerisms. Seinfeld and Larry David tapped into something that all generations can relate to.....

Opposite George...when he told off Steinbrenner,."Hire that man". Also liked the Shrinkage episode....I use it as my excuse.

Larry David's show was often hilarious. I am talking about Curb Your Enthusiasm .

If someone has to explain it to you, you’d never understand it.

Seinfeld reruns have been and continue to be my favorite sitcom reruns and I have watched reruns of Frasier, Three's Company, Sanford and Son, All in the Family, even I love Lucy (worldwide) among others. I cannot select a favorite episode as I thoroughly enjoyed so many.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a podcast where she has conversations with famous older women.

It’s called “Wiser Than Me” and Elaine sure has connections. A recent interview was with Ina Garten. Previous episodes include Sally Field, Bonnie Raitt, Carol Burnett, Diane Von Furstenburg, and lots of others.

If you are interested, you can Google “Wiser Than Me” and get the whole list, so far. I think she will be starting a new season soon.

I like to listen to podcasts while I am doing boring jobs around the house and yard.

There must be a million of them out there. But I have just a few favorites, like this Elaine one and Freakonomics and NerdWallet Smart Money. There is one called Stacking Benjamins that can have some good information, but they try to be too “entertaining” and it can sometimes get silly annoying,

Suze Orman, now and then, can have something interesting, so I check once in a while. BUT DANG! Suze talks soooo slowly and in such a condescending manner that I have to increase the speed to 1.75. She also hawks a lot of wares. But her advice can be decent, basic, starting point answers to some financial questions……

But Wowzer! Her ego sure has gotten huge since she started on television decades ago. (And, NO, I don’t care about her married life. That’s not an Issue with me. I just wish she would stop sounding so condescending to her listeners.) AND she condescends to her wife, too, when she has her on the podcasts. Her wife is a very successful woman herself, who sounds like she is playing dumb, but I guess people find that part entertaining. I find it every bit as obnoxious as it would be with any couple. Oh well, it sells.

Maybe Suze Orman will be a guest on Elaine’s “Wiser Than Me” someday. I would listen to that…..Hey! If you are still reading, didya notice I just brought this thing full circle — right back to Seinfeld.

Can I digress or what? I’m sitting in a parking lot waiting for Mr. Boomer and decided to tune in to see what’s going on withTOTV tonight. I could have been listening to a podcast.

For someone who stands to enter the billionaire club through inheritance and her own acting credits....she remains very grounded and unpretentious. Rare in that industry. Always appreciated her work

SURELY! A fellow sitcom fan like you must be a big fan of "3rd Rock from the Sun."

If not, I hope you will become one. The insight into human nature is perfect, and John Lithgow is a favorite of mine. His range is extraordinary. Loved him as Churchill in "The Crown" -- but Lithgow as Dick, the arrogant alien who with his crew came from a faraway planet to take on human form when they landed in Ohio -- to study us -- is my absolute favorite Lithgow.

(Of course, sometimes I feel like I am from another planet when I observe human behavior. But I guess we all feel that way sometimes.)

PS: Yes, manaboutown, I know. I know. "Don't call me Shirley."

Maybe Suze has to speak slowly.

"Susan Lynn "Suze" Orman, born June 5, 1951, surprisingly had a childhood speech and reading problem that prevented her from doing well in school, she scored low in tests and considered herself unintelligent."
