Difficulty posting price on items for sale.

After I list a price and complete the listing a message stated incomplete and the price I posted has been removed. I must be doing something wrong.Please advise if there is some special way to list prices.

If I recall correctly, do not use a $ sign, just enter a number and no decimal points or commas.
