How do you delete a thread after it has been posted for a while??

You can send a request to the admin or moderators to delete a thread. Generally, though, we only delete threads if they are duplicates, contain incorrect info, etc.

We do delete threads with items for sale, real estate for sale/rent, etc at the beginning of each month for the full month prior (i.e. on Feb 1 deleted all for sale items from December).

Past Threads are the archives for our members to research past issues, service recommendations, etc. Though you might be done with a thread you initiated it is out there as a benefit to other members.

At times, we will close a thread to any new posting if it has run its course, become too controversial, etc.

The subject of your message asks how to delete a MESSAGE (then the body of the message asks how to delete a THREAD)

The Admin responded to the THREAD deletion.


As far as deleting MESSAGES - they can only be deleted by the Admins. However, the original poster can go back and edit the message and delete some or all of the message. If all the message is deleted you must leave at least one key stroke (that's usually the messages seen with only a period in the body of the message).
