Has anyone done a river cruise with AMA Waterways. This a cruise line defintely above Grand Circle or Viking. We were looking at Oct 22 2015 Europe Rivers and Castles....3 nights in Paris, 7 days cruising...2 nights in Prague......great ports of call.

I've done a lot of research on river cruises and have yet to take one. That said, my sense is that AMA is excellent and Uniworld just a cut above that. Sounds wonderful. No matter which line you choose, have a wonderful time.

I have been on two AMA Waterways European river cruises and enjoyed them both.

I did an AMA starting in Paris and then river cruise from Trier to Nurmberg...I was thoroughly impressed with them. Having also done Viking, I would say they are very comparable.

the AMA ships just look much nicer compared to Viking or Grand Circle. They are newer offer more amenities, the cabins are nicley appointed. Did not like the bed arrangements for Grand Circle....2 single counches that were made up to 2 single beds in the evening. HOw was the food on your AMA trips.

Any tips or highlights of the Luxenberg to Nurenberg trip...thats the one we are looking at!
