Default Beautiful Places to Visit

Reading today's Sunday paper and there was a mention about Capri and especially Anacapri..a New Yorker living there for the last 10 years. I was there last year and it is indeed a beautiful place but don't know whether I want to live for 10 years there. There was a beautiful small church with depiction of Eden on the church floor in mosaics. Believe it was St. Michael's church though I could be wrong. Where are some of the beautiful places you may be able to recommend?

Lake Lure North Carolina. We just spent 2 weeks on the lake and it is fantastic. It was named on the top 10 most beautiful man made lakes in the World by National Geographic. We have boated many lakes and even though this is a small lake it is fantastic. And the history behind it will remind you of The Villages. Not to mention that the idea for the lake was thought of by a Doctor Morse.

so many beautiful places of all types...i guess my favorite is the Lake Como area of Italy for a relaxing time or the pilgrimage sites of France such as Roc Amador...

I love Capri. This week we spent time in Carmel and Big Sur. I think the Pacific Coast Highway 1 is the most beautiful drive in America. Point Lobos State Reserve has incredible scenery.

Very few places would I not recommend. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. That said, my favorite places to visit are right here in the USA. ---Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.

We lived in Rome from 2009 to Feb 2013, so we saw a lot of Italy. The one place we always took visitors was ORVIETO, a table-top town about a 75-minute train ride from Rome. The town is darling, the cathedral is massive, the food is tasty, and the view from the walk around the town is breath-taking.
