Default Best beach front hotel with balcony in FL

Looking for a nice beachfront hotel someplace in Florida for a November trip.
Either coast is ok.

The Watercolor Inn, Watercolor, Fla. Trendy/hip and it's not too big. Really good restaurant too.

If you would like something on the less expensive side try the refurbished Holiday Inn right on the Daytona Beach(short drive). Upper floor beach front views are great. A couple of dollars more will get you the Fountainblue (sp?) in Miami. Have fun.

Sanibal/Marco Island on the west coast and Vero Beach on the east coast are both really fine places. Sanibal/Marco has an advantage in that the Everglades are a short drive away. Neither is a huge trendy scene...if you want a scene and action -ground zero is South Beach - but, Miami is a high intensity place...great for looking at local talent, but you always have to be on your toes...not very relaxing. Violence and hustlers like any big American city.

My friend swears by a hotel near Sarasota on the gulf side. Lido Beach Resort.
