Default Flying to Europe this Summer?

If you have not booked air-- have a look at Norwegian air. They fly the newer Boeing 787 out of Ft. Lauderdale and JFK and at deeply discounted prices.

We are flying to Malta in September for a re-positioning cruise on Oceana and I was facing economy fares in the $2,600 range per ticket, one-way. Then I stumbled on Norwegian Air and was able to book tickets in the premium seating area for about $1,200 each. Could have gone with bare bottom economy for $450 range! Yes, you do have to pay for extras and our $1,200/ticket started at $1,092... but still a great deal.

We only have the premium seats for the trans-Atlantic flight, but that is where I wanted the 46" legroom and meals and drinks so that works out ok. Plus the total flight time is about the lowest I found anywhere.

They also have some flights out of Orlando (MCO). To Oslo and Copenhagen, I believe.

Please provide us with a review of your experience which I hope is positive. The reviews online are mixed but some are quite concerning.

Default also from London Gatwick

We are flying back from a repositioning cruise next month. Ft. Lauderdale to Southampton. Spending 3 days in Portsmouth (Historic dockyards, D-day museum) then taking train directly to London Gatwick, fly back direct to Orlando for $408 each, plus a baggage fee. Was around $375 each a couple of weeks earlier and later.

Looks like I need to check their website and possibly pack some food!
