Default Burning Man

Are there any Villages that attend Burning Man? Would like to connect/network with experienced burners and learn the basics for our first burn in 2024. Thx.

you might want to check facebook. I don’t think this is a Burning Man crowd here on TOTV.

This thread is just plain funny! I think though that Burning Man is a bit challenging for a lot of Villagers, for example:

“Oh yeah, and there are no showers in Burning Man, only communal toilets to use. If you need to shower, rent an RV but trust me, you'll be covered in dust again in minutes. Don't fight the dust, just embrace it.”

Not gonna happen.

Had to look Burning Man up.
Thought it was something like the film The Wicker Man.

Good for you! Have a great time. I used to live in Reno and remember the first one in Nevada.
To the rest of the Geritol, 1 foot in the grave crowd here on TOTV remember the villages is just a lifestyle, and not your home.......and time moves on. It's good to see younger people moving in and displacing the "what was".

Last I heard it has gotten so popular that they hold a lottery for attendance. Good luck!

I have a friend who went to the last one and had a blast. But most of my friends are in their 30's and 40's. Not my cuppa, I prefer 1970's rock and 1980's hair bands. And Green Day. Nirvana was okay I guess. New Wave, some of the earlier punk before it got violent, heavy metal (which oddly enough isn't nearly as violent as some think or remember it being). Some Justin Timberlake, Seal, and other pop stuff. And Bach. Always Bach. I guess I'm just not much into the alt-rock or mosh pit scene.
