Bugged
I'm getting a little skittish about traveling and the huge bed bug problem being reported. Now when I enter a hotel room I strip the bed immediately and check for signs of infestation. We'll be crusing soon and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll do search before my luggage is unloaded.
My sister lives in a luxury building in Manhattan and she recently found out that they have discovered bed bugs in the building. She had the sniffer dog and her apartment is clean but she is vigilent about the issue. Really there is no way to protect yourself since they are in movie theatres and airlines, on and on ad nauseam. I'm driving myself and my hubby buggy. |

Bedbugs are really a worry. They are everywhere now. If you go to the movies, or shopping and get them or their almost-impossible-to-see babies on your clothes, then when you get home . . . . you have a bed bug infestation. And from what I've read, the pesticides used for other bugs don't kill them. There's a controversy now about approved/non-approved pesticides for use in residences targeted to bedbugs.

I've read that all new clothing should be washed before wearing. Checking beds in hotels isn't something I've done, but probably a good idea.
I haven't given bedbugs a lot of thought, but I'm starting to feel itchy now.
