Default Daytona Beach Hotel/Motel

Any recommendations for a beach front hotel. Hilton is too pricy at $200.00 so something more reasonable.

Boardwalk Inn is nice and a great location, right at the corner of International Speedway Blvd where it deadends at the ocean; Best Western Aku Tiki is even a little nicer (actually, it's very nice) and has a complimentary unlimited happy hour for guests there daily 5:30 - 6:30 (okay, now everyone, don't all call at once for reservations!).

Both of these hotels are moderately priced but have nice rooms. Both are oceanfront. The hotel right next door to the Boardwalk Inn has an outdoor bar area with live music, so it's fun to stroll over there, or stop there for lunch or drinks if you are on the beach. We have stayed at several others in Daytona but these are two of my favorites, since when we are there we are mostly interested in dressing casually, having lots of beach time and just lounging around. There is also a good buffet restaurant that we love called Whistle Junction, with a good quality salad bar, veggies, etc; that is perfect to head for straight from a long afternoon on the beach. Another one, Duff's, is also in Daytona Beach; both are decent buffets, which we love because of the variety of food choices, etc.; and we like being able to just throw a teeshirt and pair of shorts on and go staight from the beach to have dinner (or, even better, go straight from the complimentary Happy Hour at Aku Tiki to have dinner) if we feel like it.

Inn on the Beach-South Daytona--around $90.00. Rooms are clean and very nice. (recently remodeled) Nice pool and ocean front-Within 3 miles of the broadwalk-Stayed there with family and they put all our rooms together with an upgrade at no additional cost for the middle room (kitchen) beach front.

Perry's is good too, maybe a tad bit dated but great beachfront, good location, many things to do on site. Many different types of rooms, cottages, etc... The others that were mention are excellent as well, have stayed at them all.

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn - Daytona Oceanside. It was a typical Hampton, clean and reasonable price..... $150 ~ $200

Hotel is right on the beach with beach access...

I just noticed... My avitar was taken on the balcony of the Hampton in Daytona...

We always stay at the Sun Viking Lodge in South Daytona. Very Nice Place. 2 pools, lot of lounging areas. Here is the link to it.
