Thanks again to all of you. Your prayers are beginning to work.

Our friend was taken off the ventilator this morning and is now breathing on his own and he opened his eyes once today. The spinal tap is still draining, but it is less than it was.

I will keep you updated.

Susan -

So pleased to hear that your friend is showing some signs of recovery and that their daughters are now with them in their terrifying situation. How is she doing? I also realize how difficult this must be for you.
My thoughts and prayers are constantly with them.

Default Trip Emergency

I just thought I would pass on that my wife and I travel a lot which includes Europe, etc. As a result I sign up for and pay for Medjet. It costs $350 per family per year and if you find yourself in a hospital they will pick you up and fly you anywhere in the world to the hospital of your choice.
It is a comfort to know that we can get back to the states and the hospital of our choice as soon as we have been admitted to a hospital anywhere in the world.
