Ditto for Sea Pines and make sure to go to one of three TRUFFLES restaurants located in/around H.Head.

Default Sea Pines would be our vote also

We rented homes on beach at Sea Pines for the entire crew for eight years straight, good location between Florida (kids) and our OLD home in NC....Wonderful place, you will LOVE it!

mr. dills - when are you planning to travel to hhi? high season like now? or perhaps after labor day? how long a stay do you hope for - couple of nites, week?

we go to hhi once or twice a year and have viewed lots of lovely hotels there and we can tell you all about the special restaurants that mostly the locals enjoy.

pm me if you wish...and wherever you go, whatever you do, wherever you stay - DO NOT miss a visit to signe's bakery and flamingo donuts! a very non-special place for lunch is the sea shack - a great ultra-casual place for fresh seafod - was much less crowded before it was featured on a rachel ray vacation show a few years ago - but the food quality has not suffered since then!

Default Hilton Head Island

Aww - Home sweet home in Sea Pines for 17 years before moving here.

Here are some oceanfront suggestions - all are in gated communities called Plantations (Villages!)
The Holiday Inn has the only public beach and it is crowded.

Don't miss going into Sea Pines to the Harbour Town Marina - beautiful with great shops and restaurants.
Have a wonderful trip.

Please pm me if you have questions.
