Default Orlando or Tampa

How much more is the driving distance from Tampa Airport than from Orlando Airport?

Lake Sumter Landing to Orlando 68.3 miles 1 hour 12 minutes
to Tampa 90.6 miles 1 hour 33 minutes

I find Orlando to be about 1:15 minutes and $10 in tolls round trip and Tampa to be 1:30 minutes with no tolls. Parking is a bit cheaper in Tampa if your leaving the car for a few days. However if you have any flight problems, Orlando gives you many more options so more flexibility than Tampa.

I just got back from Tampa in 1 hour 10 minutes to The Pinella's. I usually make Orlando in about 55 minutes. Times are with no traffic.

Update on tolls to Orlando: Now $6.25 each way if you're paying cash. Not sure that EPass gives you a h*** of a lot of discount.

True, no tolls to Tampa.

I think it'd probably boil down to airfare costs, schedules, etc.

We much prefer to use the Tampa airport whenever possible. The airport is much nicer and easier to get around. Security is easier. Lines not as long. Just a much nicer experience.

The last two times I drove to Tampa I got stuck in horrible traffic on 75. There is never a traffic delay on the turnpike. Just another factor to consider.
