Any frequent travelers? What route have you found best? Do you go thru Atlanta? How long does it take? Thanks!

(This is from TV to Memphis)
North on I75 to I10west, Exit 199 rt27 north to Bainbridge, take rt84 to Dothan,
Rt 231 north to Montgomery, take I65 north to Birmingham, take rt 78 to Memphis.
You can get city maps on Google maps to identify where the various routes connect.
All routes are four lane and/or limited access.
I have never taken the route thru Atlanta since that can be a pain depending on when you go thru. It is longer but being all interstate probably the same amount of time.
To my daughters in Germantown it is 725+/- and takes 12 hours driving time.
If you would like any more information PM me.

This sounds more like a vacation than a trip.

We always went 75N to 10 West then up through Dothan, Mongtomery onto Birmingham and then in Birmingham get over to 78 that takes you up to Mississippi and come up into Memphis.

I have driven 2 times there and back. I went the Google map route through BHM and MGM. too many 2 lane road from MGM to Tifton where you pick up 75. Came back the ATL route. 12 hours driveway to driveway, Chatham to East Memphis, through ATL using 285 as a route around ATL. It is all 4 lane but a brief period thru BHM to and from 78. The I-10 route looks interesting as long as there is not a lot of 2 lane.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Much rather Fly to TPA or MCO..

Drive safe
