Smile New travel club idea

Mrs. Buggyone here---
The article about the traveling bear in today's travel section has sparked a new club idea. Would anyone be interested in forming a local travel group that would revolve around traveling with a favorite "stuffed" companion? Perhaps we could meet for a Teddy Bear Picnic as a first meet-and-greet and come up with more specific plans for future adventures? If interested respond to this post or private message Buggyone and he will pass the info on to me.

I think a local travel club is a great idea. Not sure about the teddy. Think he could stay home. Although cute, a little over the top and quirky. However what a fabulous idea to get together people who would be interested in traveling locally throughout Fla to various places. Now will you start the club??

Don't mind taking my teddy bear if it's a local trip but if I do my wife will want to bring her Snoopy she had since our honeymoon. Taking to overseas trip is another matter especially that teddy bear had about 10 t-shirts to lug around. Might be charged extra luggage $25.

Idea is one that includes the Teddy Bears or other stuffed friends! There are plenty of "normal" travel clubs for those who are afraid to be just a little bit out there.

would be fun to buy a little hat pin or something from all the world travels to pin on the little buddy!! but what with cameras, purse, water bottle, passport bag, snacks etc that one carries around while tromping around the planet, not sure if carrying a stuffed animal would really be practical! one of those that wraps his arms around your purse strap might be cool! i would love to meet Mrs. Buggy!!

While I certainly appreciate the idea, I must admit to and point out that space in our baggage is limited. Especially now that the airlines think they may charge outrageous fees for 1] extra bags, 2] over-weight bags.

I'm much more inclined to carry 'flat Stanley' or his equivalent on my journeys! He doesn't weigh diddly and can easily go with you anywhere!

Jeffrey D. Bear is with us right now in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He was right at home in Mrs. Buggy's shoulder carryon bag and did not take up space at all.

The Caribbean is beautiful, warm, and turquoise clear!
