This past May we did a 15 day tour with Trafalgar. The Best of Italy and Sicily trip. Our first experience with that tour company.WONDERFUL to say the least. The tour guides were super and informative. If this is going to be your only trip to Italy I recommend this tour so you can visit the mainland and also beautiful Sicily. We wanted to visit the town were my father in law grew up and they arranged for our day off the tour and a personal driver. One of the folks on our tour took sick and they handled it perfectly. We were traveling between two places and our tour guide called ahead for medical assistance at the closest rest are. They also arranged for the travel companions hotel stay by the hospital and arranged for them to catch up with the tour 3 days later when everyone was back in good health. We would never use anyone but TRAFALGAR.

My husband and I used Tauck Tours on a recent trip to Italy. It was their Classic Italy Tour, 2 weeks, first class all the way! I think alot of the tour companies offer great tours, it's just a matter how much you want to spend. None of the meals we had on our tour were buffets, only the breakfasts and our hotels were always located in the center of each town, not on the outskirts. All tours were also included, we didn't pay anything extra. In fact, a couple of people visited some other small museums and they were actually reimbursed the entrance fees.

Smile Another Way

We flew to Europe and ended up in a Villa in Tuscany. It had a kitchen. bedroom and living/dining room. You can't beat Tuscany. It was about 3 miles from a hill town where you could buy food, watch the people etc etc. It is also very affordable. I would recommend that when looking to go to Italy a Villa in Tuscany is nothing you forget or enjoy
more.
