I had to look twice to see if the story was real. I went with my husband two years ago for a week to the Greenbrier. We bowled, had high-tea, rode horses (well, I rode, he golfed), shopped, hiked (well, I hiked, he golfed), ate, drank, swam, had room service (well, I had room service, he golfed), toured the bunker, I did personal interviews with staff for my own memories and stories...I love casinos, but at The Greenbrier!!?? I'll have to think about this one for awhile to decide if it's good or bad. It has to be better than Charles Town Races and Slots.

islandgal, I found this on The Greenbrier website. Plus, I'm glad it wasn't bought by the Marriott. I'd love to go to be honest...:

Unlike other gaming facilities, Casino Club is only open to overnight resort guests, members of The Greenbrier Sporting Club and The Greenbrier Golf & Tennis Club as well as attendees of an event or convention staying off-property when more than 400 rooms occupied. Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. In keeping with the resort’s time-honored traditions, Casino Club dress code is dressy casual until 7:00 p.m. and jeans, shorts and t-shirts are not permitted. After 7:00 p.m., a jacket is required for men and dress pants, skirts or dresses for women.
