I went on-line and skipped all the paperwork issues.

If you have been married before, you will need Marriage Certificates of all former marriages. And your first born to offer as a sacrifice. Everything has changed as of Jan 1 requiring more documentation. I believe if you go online, they will have what is needed posted. Good luck.

Just checked today. First born are no longer accepted due to less value. Youngest child if left handed is greatest value and is accepted.

The marriage certificate are only for women or anyone who has had a name change since birth. My mistake thinking I was talking to just females.

You have to watch out for the people at the local DMV.
I went there back in September for my renewal and after 18 years of renewing by mail they took my photo.
Somehow, even though they took my picture, they managed to get a photo of my grandfather and put in on my new license.
Very strange indeed!

Default Lake County

Hilarious Walt...but seriously, go online and make a reservation at the DMV and save yourself a long wait time. At Lake County DMV, they have a special line for people with appointments and you do go ahead of the other poor souls waiting in line. If your marriage license shows your maiden name that is sufficient proof for one piece of the required ID for women. If you go to the Sumpter County DMV, you have to have your vehicle registered in Florida before getting your driver's license. Lake County doesn't require that. We had a 10 am appointment. Got there 20 minutes early (and the place was packed) and left ten minutes before our appointment time!!

I went today because I could not do on internet. Took my passport, social security card and copy of my car registration. Your name has to match what is on your social security card. The clerk told me that many women have gotten married, never changed their social security card or gotten divorced and took their maiden names back but did not change their social security card. That is reason for copies of marriage license or divorce papers.

It was quick and simple. Went to Belleview DMV, was there at 8:00 and walked out at 8:20.

Thanks for the information, if I understand you correctly as long as my name matches my social security card and I have the other required identification I should be good to go.

We have found the license office in the Villages proper to be much quicker than Belleview. In and out usually in just a few minutes.
