Things to do in Boston | City of Boston

Have not been there since probably around 1967 or so. Last trip we spent more time looking at fish through the pier at Plymouth Rock than actually looking at anything else in the vicinity.

Only real memory though of the Boston area is stepping on a bee's nest on Cape Cod and then stupidly running away when I should have froze.

It's the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park. Well worth taking in a game if you are at all a baseball fan. Also, walk the Freedom Trail to see important sites of the Revolution. Tour Old Ironsides in the harbor. Go to the Hayden Planetarium in Cambridge. Walk around Harvard Yard. And without fail, go to one of the small Italian restaurants on the North End. Enjoy!

Sitting in Boston Commons Park and just watching all the sights is a great way to spend some time. Stroll along the Charles. There seems to always be some kind of entertainment-- maybe even a parade. They seem to have a parade for everything. Taking a ride on the Mass Transit is always an experience just be clear where you are going. Its a fun city!!

Go to Penway Park and root for the Yankees. Extra points if you wear a Yankees jersey with the number 3. They love that there.

PS - Seriously, blow by Boston and go up to Maine!

Well...it's not that they (Sox fans) love that. It's just that it cracks them up so much 'cause the NY fans usually do it when the Yankees aren't even in town. Nor the Sox, often. Or they're playing over at Fenway, instead of Penway.

Seriously, don't blow by Boston but if you want to avoid the NYers go to the Museum of Fine Arts or the Museum of Science....

Walk the Freedom Trail.

Eat Italian food in the North end.

Eat at Jimmy's Harborside or Anthoney's Pier 4.

Visit Salem. (Witch City)

Visit the Tea Party boat and museum.

There is much to do in the area.

BTW Boston and Cape Cod are worlds apart.

Default Freedom Trail App

There are several Freedom Trail IPad apps available from the App Store. Details on much to see in and about Boston. I have the "official" one. Have not looked at the $4.99 one.
