Looking for one way transportation to the pier in Fort Lauderdale on 12/20/25. Any groups going that have room for two more people? Other options appreciated.

We have always used yankee trails. Could go to Orlando airport and than take brightline but too complicated to do this day of the cruise.

Whether we’re leaving or arriving at Fort Lauderdale we rent a car. If we’re leaving out of FLL we get a car out of Leesburg and drop off at the airport then Uber to the port. Can usually get a midsize SUV through Costco for about $100.

I’m taking a 133 day cruise out of Ft Lauderdale in Jan and this is exactly what I’m doing. If it’s anything shorter than 10 days I’d just drive and park at the pier. I did the train once and it was actually perfect but I’ll have too much luggage for that this time.

For two-way we tend to use CruiseExpress for the convenience. Too expensive one-way. |

We need one-way from Port of Miami back to The Villages in January. Cruise Express is a total of $240 (need a friend to pick us up at Lady Lake otherwise add cost for Uber). Groome/Brightline/Uber prices out at approximately $300. One-way car rental would be approximately $95 plus about $60 for gas, tolls, and Uber to rental facility for a total of $155. YMMV.

By way of example, if you want to travel tomorrow, Brightline starts at $69pp one-way.
On Saturday it is $49. Keep checking their website and it can drop to the $30's, but you have to grab them quickly. |

We are not traveling tomorrow. Currently, when we would need to travel in January it is $96 per person. Maybe it comes down, maybe not because of snowbird season. At $69 per person, Groome/Brightline/Uber is approximately the same cost as Cruise Express but is not as convenient and will probably take longer.

GBU is quicker (and more comfortable) than CruiseExpress but I agree that the latter is more convenient (although not if you live a long way from 441/27). |

I was responding to your comment that Cruise Express was "too expensive one-way". It is not. It is, unfortunately, not the insanely good deal it use to be when it was $50 per person each way. It is, however, about the same or lower cost than Groome/Brightline/Uber. It is doubtful that Groome/Brightline/Uber could be quicker since missing the hourly departures can add an hour for each miss. The Groome part of the trip is not more comfortable than Cruise Express and can be quite lengthy depending on who else is on the bus and where you live.

Regardless, we are happy to use Groome/Brightline/Uber whereas you clearly are not. |

Not at all. I was just pointing out your wrong information. See my first response where I commented about "too expensive", which it is not since it is lower cost than Groome/Brightline/Uber. Feel free to continue to argue against the facts but count me out as I have better things to do.
