Anyone ever been there?

We had some favorite restaurants when we lived in the Milwaukee area.

Yes, we ate there a number of times when we lived in Waukesha County. Good German cuisine. And it was always packed on Fridays for their fish fry. Oh how I miss a good Wisconsin fish fry with beer battered cod, potato pancakes, cole slaw and rye bread.

I am sorry to hear that it is closing. Good German restaurants are getting hard to find.

I use to eat lunch there regularly while working at NCL Graphics, not far away. I pleased to see that the family will continue to operate their Golden Mast and Seven Seas locations. Both of these locations are on water and are some of the best restraunts in eastern WI! Might have to stop by while I'm in the Milwaukee area in a couple of weeks.

Lived a mile away from the Gasthaus in the 80's. Frequented all the Weissberger's eateries back then. Sure miss the "all you can eat" Friday night Fish Frys there and many other great Wisconsin restaurants.

Yes - I lived in the area. I'm really surprised because they seemed to do a really good business. It was a great place to go for cocktails after work! I believe they also had a restaurant downtown Milwaukee (not sure if it is still in business).
