Default Air Fryers and Quartz Countertops

Because the fryer can heat to such a high temperature, are you using a protective mat and if so, what type? Thanks.

I have not because mine sits up off the counter, but if you are concerned I would recommend getting a silicone drying mat that would be big enough to fit under your unit. They are cheap enough on Amazon. Could also use a cutting board if you have one large enough.

My air fryer sits directly on the counter top, but it has four built in rubber pads that lift the fryer about a quarter inch off the counter. Its never been a problem.

However, when I remove the hot basket, i never set the hot basket directly on the counter top. Instead, I set the basket on a silicon pad (placed on the counter top) that i purchased from Amazon.

I have a large plastic cutting board (18 inches by 24 inches by 1/2 inch thick), purchased from Amazon for about $30. It provides protection for both the countertop and the oven. I also use a silicone trivit under very hot items.

Run your air fryer on your stove top at max temp for 15 minutes. Then move over to check the top is cool, warm, or hot. Mine produces zero, heat on the counter. However I have it on a large wooden cutting board.

1. because the cutting board I love to use is too big to store in a cabinet
2. Can slide the cutting board, with air frying away from the wall with no effort

The high temperature comes from the back of the fryer, at the bottom. The bottom of the unit directly isn't too bad. I appreciate your responses!

I use a 12" X 12" piece of ceramic floor tile that I picked up at one of the home improvement stores. I also put some stick-on felt pads on the bottom of the tile so it doesn't scratch the counter top.

I have several raised cutting boards from CUTCO, and use them under all of my small appliances on my quartz.
