Default Where to find farmer's cheese?

I'd like to make pierogis but can't find any farmer's cheese. I've looked in the local super markets, Fresh Market and the polish deli in Leesburg with no luck. Any ideas?

My local Publix off 466 always has it. Located in the Deli case close to the butters and cheeses.

Thanks so much! I've looked and asked at Publix and was told they didn't carry it. I'm going back!

It's definitely there, but they hide it pretty well. I have a packet here "Friendship All Natural Farmer Cheese" $2.25. In 466 Publix start looking when you get to the packaged cheeses and it is somewhere between that area and the butters. They have designated a tall and narrow area right in the middle of this part of the deli, but it is well hidden.

Hi philnpat: Acknowledging different tastes if you can't find farmers cheese white cheddar adds a nice flavor to potato pierogi. Either way pierogi pot cheese, potato, cabbage or prunes you can't eat just one....well maybe the prune pierogi your best bet is no more than two

If you need help eating them, let me know. I LOVE pierogis but way too lazy to make them (but the frozen aren't too bad).

Did you find the Farmer's Cheese? I was in there this afternoon and looked for it for you. As you go to the back of the store towards the Milk, you will see a sign "Fresh Pasta", immediately to the left of that sign on the bottom shelf there are just two packets of Farmer's Cheese - today $5 for two.

I have also seen Farmer's cheese at Publix on 466a. I know it's there, because I've been searching all over for "Pot Cheese", and kept finding Farmer's cheese. Does anyone know where I can find "Pot cheese"? I'd really be grateful. Thanks, Trish

Where to find farmers cheese? Why, in the farmer's refrigerator of course!
