my Mom and Grandma would do all the easter baking on good Friday..and we werent allowed to sweep the flour off the floor.. because Italian traditon was that Christ was taken down from the cross and he was lying on the gound.. so that would have been a big boo boo to sweep.. but all that good tasting baked goods yummy!!!

We always used the colored eggs for the bread. Haven't had any for years!!

I remember an easter bread that was made with baby pastina and eggs.

I remember my mom used to call it basteed?????

Every year my friends would ask for it so I had her make extra.
