I make a full part every morning. My wife drink one cup and I finish the pack. I’ve been doing this for years with no apparent negative effects.
Sometimes I’ll make a cup in the afternoon. I read that too much. Caffeine is not good for a body, but you can’t prove it by me. |

The verdict is out on the detriments/benefits of coffee drinking. Excess is obviously not a good thing, but there are many studies showing the benefits of a cup of coffee per day.

I drink about 4 cups of a coffee a day. I try not to have any coffee after 2 PM. Coffee has gotten a lot of good press lately. Recent medical studies have shown health benefits of up to 5 cups of coffee a day.

Correct. But keep in mind that "a cup of coffee" in these studies is usually 6 ounces, not an 11 oz mug which is almost "2 cups".

I brew a 12 oz cup of coffee every morning, but once that's been drunk, I have no more until the next morning.
One thing is however, that different people metabolize the caffeine at different rates. So your pot to your wife's cup might both be metabolized at different rates, which is fine for both of you. Some might not be able to sleep after drinking a whole pot, but as long as you are fine, then you are okay ![]() |

First thing oncologist for breast cancer tells you. Cut back on all caffeine by 90%. Same advice for women or men. I stopped caffeine abuse 20 years ago, either from chocolate, coffee and tea

I do a big cup in the AM, 11 oz or so.
Caffeine varies by batch so you could get more from one bag vs another, even with the same brand. A little caffeine is good, too much, not so much. People’s tolerances vary as well. I grind my own beans and use a half and half ratio of decaffeinated beans and “full strength” in my brew. |

I French press brew 13 oz of freshly ground premium 100% Kona coffee every morning. I really enjoy it and this suits me just fine. It works out to be about $3 per morning. It's somewhat indulgent but but still cheaper and so vastly superior the over roasted stale swill at the local chain.

I make a cup of cappuccino every morning. Six ounces espresso-ground dark-roast coffee (cafe Bustelo), with frothed, steamed milk, 1 teaspoon sugar, and a few shakes of cinnamon powder. If I don't get my morning cuppa I get a migraine.
