Default Kielbasa Sandwiches

Kielbasa Sandwiches

Ingredients

· 1 Kielbasa ring
· ¼ cup mustard (spicy brown)
· Vinegar
· Onion, sliced
· Frozen pastry dough, rolled out and cut into squares
· Grated cheddar cheese
· Chives
· Caraway seeds
· Coarse salt (sea salt)

Yield: 4 servings.

Cut the round of kielbasa in half lengthwise and then in half again to get four pieces. Butterfly the four pieces. Brown in butter. Sauté onion in spicy mustard and a few tablespoons of vinegar.

Roll out dough until thin. Lay kielbasa on dough and top with onions. Then put grated cheddar cheese on top of onions. Sprinkle with chives. Roll up dough around kielbasa and sprinkle oil on top. Sprinkle a few caraway seeds and salt on top of that.

Bake at 350 degrees until brown.

That's what the vinegar is for. A natural de-clogger. :

I should never have looked at this recipe. I believe that Jim might possibly be a devil of some kind. Oh my! This is wicked stuff. I can't wait to try it.

We've has these for 30-40 years already. Thought everyone knew about them. You can keep the caraway seeds though (causes allergic reaction), but load her down with warm sauerkraut (fresh is best).

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!
