Default Swedish hasselback potatoes

I'm posting the recipe from ALLRECIPES as it shows the PHOTO of how they should look when finished baking.
My sister in law had scribbled the recipe (which I had memorized) on a little piece of paper ; it's very very very easy and nice for something different for dinner guests or just your immediate family supper.

I had also found the recipe once at the library's TIME LIFE COOKBOOK series, in the book on SWEDEN.

Only difference between those recipes and this one shown at hyperlink....we did NOT use romano cheese at all. I doubt if they use it in Sweden either.

Otherwise, this is a good explanation of how to put the potato on a wooden spoon and slice down almost to the bottom to make it fan out as it is baking. I also used a bit more butter and kept basting while they were roasting.............out of this world potatoes, believe me.
