The Polish deli has the best liverwurst, which I eat on rye bread with butter.

Braunschweiger is brown. liverwurst is gray. Difference in taste.

Pate is made with chicken or goose liver.

I like them all but Braunschweiger is my favorite with Hellmann's mayonnaise and Vidalia onion on rye.

My favorite Braunschweiger is from Aldi's. Deutche Kuchen right from Germany. Great on crackers, mixed with cream cheese as a pate. Great sandwich

Bought some today.....hate liver but like this...ONLY on TOASTED rye with only mustard. My wife likes it on raw (untoasted) bread with mayo. Turns my tummy...

My way is my way. Would not change. Oh Well. Happy New Year!

Pate is made with chicken or goose liver, not beef liver.
So everybody adds fat (butter, mayo) to fat (braunsweiger, liverwurst). Surely unhealthy, but so good

Occasionally I can get the Kahn brand at Publix. It is the best for sandwiches as it spreads easily and tastes great. Like it with mayo and lettuce with a dill pickle on the side.
