They are shell shaped filled pastries. Sfogliatelle means many layers or leaves.

Love them! Found them at an Italian bakery in Atlanta.

Anyone find them in the TV area? We are coming back to TV one week from today - can't wait to get to our forever home, for a week. And it will be one week closer to our retirement.

I would love some. As you said earlier, we would get them from Ferrera 's in Little Italy for a special treat. Good memories.

Depends what part of the villages your coming from. Marion County is closer. Sumter County and southern parts of of TV are further away. Generally speaking, about 1/2 hour or so away.

Isn't it strange that we measure distance in time rather than miles.

No to hijack the thread, but if you are from a larger metropolitan area, with multiple road construction projects, it can take you 20 minutes to go 9 miles or it can take 1 hour, depending on road construction.

Chicago has 2 seasons: winter and road construction.

Maybe because if we have to take small sidestreets to go ten miles, it's very different than being able to travel those ten miles on a 70mph highway.
