not only a dying breed but an ever growing apathy or lack of interest in this country's heritage.

Just watch how many hits this thread will (will not) get on this forum.

A new restaurant or shopping center or yes the all ever present dog poop will always get thousands of hits.....

And as the melting pot of America continues to melt there will be fewer and fewer who would have any interest in our past.

There is no substitute for the love of America.

Too many take for granted what so many gave up so that we might enjoy our freedom. Thankfully, some still remember.

There is a town near where I grew up in NJ that has held an annual parade for the past 32 years to honor Sgt. John Basilone. He was the only Marine in WWII to be awarded the Medal of Honor and the Navy Cross. The mini-series "The Pacific" was partially about his heroics at Guadalcanal. Instead of remaining stateside selling war bonds he returned to active duty and was KIA on the first day of fighting on Iwo Jima.

God Bless America!
