After the power outage this morning, our clock/radio died. The new ones look great and would let me sync with my phone but the problem is that those only have FM radios so WVLG won't be available. I have looked online for info or apps that would allow me to stream that station through my phone but have hit a dead end. Is there a way that I haven't found?

I also received the same message when I went on to TuneIn. Would be nice if WVLG caught up with the technology of today and broadcast a stream on line.

They've been aware of the technology for a long time, but don't want to spend the bucks to utilize it.

Why don't you get a new clock radio that has AM??? Go to Amazon and search "am fm clock radio". They are available and reasonably priced. (If you need a weather alert radio too and want to spend a little more money, get a Sangean CL100. Under $70 also have am/fm with alarms....the best rated wx radio too!)

Thanks for the help. I bought a very nice iHome clock/radio on sale at Kohls with a dock for my phone that lets me play it through the radio speakers. If I need to hear WVLG for some reason, I can tune to channel 99 on a tv.

Just to see what kind of response I get (if any) I just sent an email to WVLG Radio asking if broadcasting via an online stream is a possibility in the future. If I get a reply, I will post it on TOTV.

I've always gotten the sense that they want to keep things like WVLG and the Sun newspaper exclusive to people that are actually here in the bubble. I don't think they see any business sense in going online with the radio. What good would it do for a local advertiser to have someone several states away listening to their ad? They sure aren't going to pay more for that privilege.
Just my opinion. |

A lot of streaming radio stations run their own ads during commercial breaks. I can see the developer running a lot of "come on down and see for yourselves" type ads. They're missing out on a great marketing idea.
