Default 2 questions

This has probably been addressed before but is anyone aware of a service that does temporary in home care. If Steve and I need to go away for a few days we are wondering if there is a service available that would stop in, check on his folks and make sure they are ok and have taken their meds, eaten, etc. They are quite capable of living on their own but it would be reasuring to know someone is here to check on them and available if they need to call for help if needed.

Second question...does anyone know of a charitable organization that will pick up? When I checked online the only thing I could find was Goodwill and they would ONLY pick up large furniture. We are cleaning closets and have stuff to donate.

Thanks!

Answer to your second question:
Habitat For Humanity
6761 County Highway 149, Wildwood, FL
(352) 330-0881

They do have trucks but it might be for furniture pick up only.
(We donated a bedroom suit)
They also will give you a tax deduction form.
They are also off Rte 44 if you want to drop things off.
You can google the address to find the exact location.

Trish:

Look into:

American Home Companions - <www.InHomeElderCare.com>
Caregiver Services - <www.CSICareGiver.com>
Comfort Keepers - <www.ComfortKeepers.com>

There are others listed in the Yellow Pages, but these paid for a signicantly-sized ad, so they get points from me! :-(

Good Luck!

Red Cross will pick up clothing and other things from your drive even if you're not home....
