Just pull over and/or wave them by. Everyone is happy. Problem solved.

When driving long distance, speed matters. Even in a golf car.
Well said. It’s just common courtesy.

I don't disagree but these are the laws that we have. I'm not likely to drive 35mph down Morse but I know what the law is so I won't be complaining if I'm ticketed.

In this discussion I have more problems with those saying the cart is unstable at anything over 15mph or that the brakes are insufficient to stop it from 20mph. Both statements seem like they come from someone who has never driven a cart. I know I have never had a stability problem at 20mph and the brakes *did* keep me from T-boning the truck that pulled out in front of me.

Driving home from Laurel Manor on Cart Path along 466 a couple of days ago and I don't know what my speed was but it wasn't slow....I try to keep an assured clear distance from the cart ahead or respectfully follow bike riders and slow down for walkers especially where the center Island hems us in,...............but someone zipped around me and almost hit a Golf Cart coming toward us.

Made me cuss. (Did you hear me?)

Thank you for making my point that slowing down and/or pulling over is not required, even if it might seem to be the courteous thing to do. Neither party gets to dictate how the other operates their vehicle. That is LEO'S job.

Florida Law: If you have to exceed the speed limit to pass, it is illegal. Hmmmpt.
Shocked, but makes sense. Speeding is speeding.
Dangerous is dangerous.
Yes! Correct! And, if they get pulled over they will argue and blame everyone else, even the cop that pulled them over.

You are an accident waiting to happen.
Not "waiting to happen". Actively looking for a place to happen!

Respectfully disagree. It is not just about tax, as the state could easily require license taxes for any and all forms of transport to use the roads, etc. As for safety, laws are put in place and the line for acceptability has to be drawn somewhere. Generally speaking, we are already exceeding the design specs for max safety at 20 mph. Why can't the "daredevils" be satisfied with that when operating on public roads and parking lots. If you want a go-cart, go to a race track or buy your own place where you can act the fool all you want and put no one else in jeopardy. No need to stress over a couple mph, imho.

We have a governor on our golf cart and almost every golf cart zips by us going well over 20 mph.

It seems like many Villagers have a need for speed.

Any time you become a part of a couple, group, organization, society, you give up some freedom. Humans are social animals. Very few are happy totally free and 100% alone.

Not me! I am expected to pull over and slow down so some impatient speeder thinks their use of the public road is more important than mine? Bowing to ones entitled behavior doesn't engender love, admiration or joy among those who are expected to kowtow.
