![]() Help! I can't get my shower tile clean!!! We bought our dream home in TV in March 07, but unfortunately can't retire yet, so we have been renting it out. We have white tile with a "sandpaper" finish on the shower floor, and white grout. It looks terrible and I can't get it clean. The people who installed it said to use a soft brush and "scrubbing bubbles" type cleaner. We just came down for the first time since last year, and I have scrubbed it and scrubbed it, and it still doesn't look clean. This will be on my list of things to replace when we move down here permanently, but in the meantime, is there anyone who has this tile and knows how to take care of it??? Does using daily "leave-on" shower cleaner work? Just call me... Desperate Domestic Diva ![]() |

I have the sandpaper tile on my shower floor and never had a problem with dirt. After using the shower I spray on tilex for shower on the floor and it always stayed clean. You can try tilex mildew cleaner. It may work.

Like floridagal , we use tilex mildew cleaner. Spray it on. Let it set for 30 to 60 minutes and spray it off. Works great.

We have very hard water here in TV. I find CLR will work for most stains. Let us know what works for you!

When I have a place in the baths to get clean I use Clorox.

Once you get it off, get a softener sheet (or two or three) from the laundry room, thoroughly wet it and rub it on the shower walls and floor. It really helps keep the water from leaving its scum.

Another trick for showers is to use turtle wax, let it dry and buff off. Water scum just rolls off and it last a long long time. Wouldn't do it to floor may be too slippery.
