While you will be able to find plenty of athletic type activities (golf, tennis, softball, cycling (road & mountain), ect .... you might find that other forms of entertainment, specifically music & arts are geared more for .... shall we say, an older demographic.

I have to drive to Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville a couple of times a month to get my live music fix .... of bands / acts I want to get said fix from.

Yeah I really don't mind the drive except for the speeds. Here in Texas where I am at the Speed Limit is 75 everyone drives 120 so getting around does'nt take long.

Did your mother consider moving to Austin to be near you? It's a beautiful place and your careers are already established there. Just thinking...

I know it would be a lot of trouble, but personally, I think
if you could sell your mother's home, you would be happier moving to the new areas
on both sides of 466A- lots of Boomers and younger.
Just a thought.

My mother is very established in the area. We have talked about this and I see how happy she is being here. since I will end up here why not just come and establish myself early. As everyone always puts it. We still young and this will be easier on us to adjust. All in all though I could not pull her away form the villages. when i visit I see the joy in her face.

Thought about this to since her neighborhood is older. But give it 10 years the neighborhood will be baby boomers I know it sounds morbid but it is the rotation of the villages.

Hi whippersnapper,
Hope we are right behind you in getting to TV.
We can't wait, as it has been 12 yrs of waiting.
We love it at TV and will be coming in Oct of 2013 as a 65TH birthday
present from hubby. He says I will never get another present as good
as this one. Never met anyone who was not friendly like where we are now
