I KNOW this is a stupid question but I'm gonna ask anyway - What is a FROG? I see it all the time on these threads but as someone who is moving to TV in September, I'm not sure what it is and I probably need to know. Thanks folks.

Default Some Of Us Aren't So Happy With The Frogs

I've run into two people who have been quite upset with the frogs living near them. One of our friends lives with their lanai facing across the golf course towards the Havana CC patio. There's a golf course pond 50-60 yards from them which is so inundated with bullfrogs that they can't hear normal conversations on their lani in the evenings.

I also ran into another couple playing golf who described having to sell their house because it would be covered with tree frogs each morning. The man described not being able to see out thru their sliding doors and not being able to open the garage door because they were "covered" with tree frogs (the ones with the suction cups on their feet) each morning.

That's the bad news. The good news is that one of the neighbors living nearby the couple near Havana CC--a retired Army officer--recommended a sure thing solution to the bull frog problem. He recommended a couple of hand grenades to permanently put a frog in the throats of the bull frogs. Hah! Nothing like a good old practical GI solution to a problem.

There was a "storm" of frogs around the doors of our home a couple of years ago for two or three weeks and I haven't seen any since.

It is a mystery.

Sounds like something from the Old Testament. ::

Default Glad to be a new frog!

We purchased our home in June 2014 and just arrived to stay last week!!! We are so happy. We have my 87 year young mom living with us and we are happy to be frogs!!! In fact, I just purchased my "Frog" vanity plate at Lake Sumter Landing. "I'm a frog. I'm here till I croak." I can't think of any other place I would rather enjoy retirement. Both my husband an I are not eligible for medicare but I just took my mom today to Dr. Helen at the Pinellas care center. She was thorough and sooo... supportive of her needs. It all keeps getting better!
